2D Level Layout

The focus was to keep the player on their toes. They willingly walked into a suspicious vent, now they are caught up in a high-stakes fight with a foundation that wants to keep their secrets away from the public eye. Add that with an unknown Entity that is guiding them through the facility and it is a full-on jail break.

Blockout

This is the 3D layout for the Site 13 Containment Facility, designed using a diverse range of assets, including ship components, industrial structures, concrete pieces and cave formations. The goal is to create an engaging combat experience and immersive environment that draws players into the ominous atmosphere of the unknown danger they have entered. The layout emphasizes environmental storytelling, integrating subtle clues and lore elements to provide context about the facility and the entities it contains. Puzzles are strategically placed in memorable locations to minimize excessive backtracking while promoting a sense of discovery and exploration.

Scripting

The location has been set up with multiple scripting events such as changing environments, effect shaders, enemy marker placements, unique item interactions, triggered sound events, and terminals.

Unknown Site:
The Pumpkin Protocol is a quest that explores one of the multiple sites held by the OCT Foundation. Their goal is to Observe, Contain, and Terminate any anomalies they may encounter. Pumpkin or Entity [REDACTED] is no different and has been contained in this facility to protect the public. However, when the player unknowingly causes a site-wide containment breach, they are thrown into a place where nothing is as it seems.
