2D Level Layout

These are the flow charts of the three interior cells based on the required Chunks Noir quest stages. They show the general pathing of how the player will move throughout the areas. Additionally, what interactable objects the player needs in order to progress.

Blockout

This was the 3D layout of the four interior cells for the mod. From left to right it is the Main Chunks Factory floor, the Research Factory Level, Chris Chorizo's studio apartment, and the Detective Agency building.

Scripting

Locations have set Terminals, Load Doors, Security Doors with different access conditions, Elevators and Moving Platforms. The Chunks Factory exterior specifically is a set location that spawns on the Shoza IV and has a working Landing Pad.

Detective Agency:
The detective agency is home to a simple upstairs apartment, kitchen, waiting room and office. This is where the main character of the mod lives and where the quest begins. It's located in Akila City and uses a previously inaccessible house. I focused on using Akila kit pieces and the LUTz imagescape to create a organized space where that gives off the tone of a library. Its why I focused on giving it soft warm lighting and created some visual interest in the office with the blinds.
 

Apartment:
This apartment is owned by a journalist who has been investigating Chunks and trying to find out how they are created. It is located in Athena Towers on the 4th floor in New Atlantis. I wanted this apartment to feel chaotic and messy as if the journalist was slowly losing his mind over his work. The lighting is bright, but doesn't overpower the space so that the attention can be on the large white board with all the journalist's ramblings.

Chunks Factory:
The Chunks Factory consists of two interior cells and an exterior overlay with connecting load elevators. The Main Factory area is designed for a low number of NPCs as the factory is running at half capacity. The Research level is partially shut down with creatures having escaped from containment and wreaking havoc on the testing sector. In the center of the research facility is a large containment cell meant to house "The Machine". The exterior of the Overlay is a set location on Shoza IV which the player is guided to during the quest. The lighting throughout is simple with red lights meaning the area is in lockdown mode and the more subtle lighting in the factory showing that part of it is shut down.
